1987-06-24 That's How It Is

Cleon Douglas (also known as Jus Cee) had given me a cassette tape of songs he had written and recorded recently, and they were awesome. I especially loved the song the show is titled after, “That’s how it is when you’re in love…” Incredible talent there, but I fully respect his desire to live a quiet life of introspection while avoiding what he called the dangers of the “spotlight.” Good for him, but a loss to those who did not get a chance to hear his music. Nice show follows with some interesting musical nuggets. There is a great promo for a Vermont Reggae Fest benefit done by Bobby hackney in a Barry Gee style.

Music included: Cleon Douglas (as Jus Cee), Mighty Diamonds, Sandra Cross and he Wild Bunch, Aisha & the Robotiks, Jerry Robinson, Bim Sherman, Wackie’s Rthythm Force, Half Pint, Judy Mowatt, Minky Moore & Lambsbread, Bob Marley & the Wailers and a lot more.
