1987-07-22 Jah's Birthday

23 July is the birthday of Haile Selassie. Well, this is 22 July, but we are going to go for it anyway. It was a great day to review the bands and artists from the just concluded 1987 Vermont Reggae Festival that had taken place at Oakledge Park and had been attended by about 8000 people. All the bands are here except High Society. The rain started to come down during the Lambsbread set and because of the electrical situation the music had to stop. The problem was that the Meditations had not played yet. So, they played at Hunt’s that night and it was free. It worked out well.
